  • About Me Who is Meowie? and what kind of name is thatttt?! Hi my name is Meowie, well real name is Caroline, either way am good with whatever you call me on those names. Was nicknamed Meow or in our dialect Meming or Kuring because not only I have the tiniest voice, I have the characteristics of a cat, so that I hope explains everything! haaa!! Mind you that I am somehow pretty blunt and my flow of words are just it is what it is, no fancy schmanchy. am still a little rusty with my writing skills so bear with me and if you don’t like what you see, leave it be and thank you for viewing. Other than that I wish you the best in life, how’s that? Deal? I was born and raised in a small island of Bacolod City, Philippines, youngest from a brood of ten kids, at 23 went to New York to seek new life, new challenges and left my entertainment/journalism career. Everything changed when I got married and unfortunately and eventually got divorced, the second one also did not work and now in a very happy, contented and committed relationship that made me look forward on courageously after years of just thinking about how to use and share what I know despite of the countless and thousands of creative cooks all over the world. I owe this encouragement and inspiration to my love and partner, Eric for giving me light and perspective to what I really want in my life. He gave me this direction without hesitations and prejudice and has given me enough breather to sustain myself and taught me how to do it on my own and if do need help, he is always there to guide me. Why Meowiesfoodies Foodgasms and Addictions? I am always addicted to food, I eat everything as long as its edible. Am not really that picky, just a few little things to name but if I still can tolerate the taste I’d go for it. Foodgasms…because whenever I go to restaurants that serve good food, a good meal and a good laugh amongst loved ones, it is quite ORGASMIC! Don’t you agree? To this extent, I want you to enjoy the foodies here that I will somehow post and share to all of you and do my best to make it foodgasmic to your view, like you want to devour the computer screen and have your tummy complaining because you are hungry. heee. What pushed me to do this foodies blog, finally after almost 5 years of taking photographs of food that I always cook and have my friends, colleagues and relatives tell me to gather up all my recipes and photos and make it into a recipe or guide book. Unfortunately, since life has been throwing a lot of curve balls to my face I cannot just sit on my ass and do nothing about it, right? So procastination is definitely not the greatest thing to have and knowing that I can do it, it’s the lazy syndrome that rules above me at that time (well sometimes it shows even until now). BUT as you can see, there is a MIRACLE after all. This is by further the longest thing I’ve ever written, and now am really blabbing so let’s cut the bullshit. haha! Anyways, my dad is the real source of this addiction to foodies. He introduced us to the most humble yet classy type of cuisine. Whatever he does, he makes sure that he has the best and freshest ingredients and he knows exactly what to do if he doesn’t have the substitute or if we don’t have any money to buy the groceries. Imagine having ten kids is a serious matter! He told us, the key to being a great cook is to do it with a whole lotta LOVE and PASSION, and I always carry that in my heart. And so I hope, this passion, more encouragement and support that I get will lead me to a better way of achieving my goals no matter how big or small, am going to do it. I’ll take that chance, so are you with me on this? Let’s do it! SO as the day goes by and if I don’t procastinate…”this” will change! (yahOOo!) Thank you for spending some time to look around, thank you and I really appreciate the comments and suggestions. For now I will be using some photos that I’ve searched over the internet till I get settled with a good kitchen and some good plating system (on my part, lol) For now we’re still on the nomad stage so bear with us in this process. Disregard the note below, I just put them there so that I won’t forget about it. Yes, I have a memory problem.haaah (All Photos are taken by me, including the set up, plating etc. If you want to use my images, please feel free to email me – meowiefotografie@gmail.com) CIAO. Xau, Hanggang sa muli, Sa Dason naman..a.
